Mrs. Pappamma
Aged 69, staying here for the last two and a half years expresses:
“I am a Kannadiga, hailing from Hosur near Bangalore. I was very prosperous and led a comfortable life with properties and land for cultivation. My husband was a farmer. We had four children but only one has survived today. My husband died because of mental ailment.
Unfortunately, in one year alone, I lost four members of my family. I lost all my prosperities. I later worked as a cook. Because of my health, I cannot work now. Hence, as advised by some friends, I came to “Kaakkum Karangal”.I am happy to be here. I have no problem for food and clothing. “Kaakkum Karangal” takes care of me well.” |
